The Standard and Seating Arrangement in Restaurants

 When a restaurant or food court is made it has the seating arrangement for his customers. So when the seating arrangement comes into the discussion there are variety of arrangements that can be done which merely depends upon what is going within the mind of an owner. But it is important that an owner should know about the different types of seating arrangement that can be done, so he could choose one suitable for his requirement.

 Banquet Seating

In this the setting is done in a row in which a table is at the center covered with bench shaped chair from two opposite sides, since this setting is done in a row the bench shaped chair has a symmetrical chair behind it sharing a common back rest.

When it comes to standard dimension then the height of chair is eighteen inches, while the height of table is thirty inches. The table is twenty four by thirty inches, while back rest of the chair could be 30 minus 18 or 40 minus 18.

Table seating

In table seating the chairs are generally made up of plastic or any other firm material because the cushioning is almost zero. This arrangement can be done in the multiples of two, four or six can be done easily.


Wall Seating

This is one of the most popular seating arrangement and in this arrangement on one side of the table there is wall and the other side there are chairs. The wall side is cushioned and this set can be set with single chair, double chairs and four chairs.

The main concern is that there should be gap of twenty four inches or thirty inches between the two tables. The reason is simple that who so ever will come to sit on the cushion have to cross the space between the two tables, so there should be an optimum space to cross the gap.

General observation

The table of a restaurant is never designed randomly interior contracting companies in UAE rather it is observed that if a customer is going to eat snacks only the width of table should be not less than twenty four inches, but if the customer is going to eat proper meal then the width of the table should be in between twenty four inches to thirty inches.

A good arrangement can be said that on a small space maximum seating arrangement is done with no possible problem faced by the customers. Because extra seating means the extra growth in restaurant business but on condition that restaurant is not compromising with its food and service.
